Our Story

Headway came to life in 2018 through a burning desire to get out there and help other individuals and organisations to grow through untapping human potential by providing tools that cut through the theory and find the difference that makes the difference.

Derek is the founder and lead coach at Headway Training Academy. With a background in professional sport and 25 years of commercial and leadership experience at board level Derek wanted to share his findings with those that wanted the ingredients in order to perfect their own recipe. Headway wanted to demonstrate that there is no cookie approach to leadership or 'out of the box' model, however those willing to invest time in shifting thoughts and behaviours across a critical mass of individuals would improve the effectiveness of it's people and result in significant returns on investment. As the story unfolds it turns out that Headway are indeed proving their work and have developed a habit of supporting clients to improve results through shifting the effectiveness of managers and leaders

What's next?

It was never the intention to stay small, however it will always be the intention to remain unique and deliver a service and value add proposition that goes way beyond the theory and allows individuals and organisations to benefit from finding a partner that really can make the difference.
